Dick Tauber, Vice President, Transmission Systems and New Technology for the CNN News Group, was selected as SSPI’s “Mentor Award” recipient, honoring his years of contributions to the industry nurturing and mentoring rising young professionals. SSPI’s 3rd annual Future Leaders Dinner was held on October 14, at The 3 West Club in Manhattan. A portion of the proceeds from the banquet and awards ceremony went to SSPI’s educational fund for scholarship and intern grants for students aiming for careers in the satellite industry. The SSPI Future Leaders Dinner serves as the social networking event which anchors “Satellite Week NYC,” when a range of industry events and conferences are scheduled throughout the week.
