Viva GMV! To Provide Support For Brasilsat

Good news arrived at GMV when the company learned it has been selected by Star One to upgrade the Brasilsat Satellite Control Facility for the Brasilsat B1, B2, B3 and B4 spacecraft. The Brasilsat B1-B4 spacecraft are actually Boeing 376W spacecraft. This contract is GMV’s first contract with Star One, the largest satellite operator based in South America. GMV will provide the satellite control facility software and hardware to upgrade the existing satellite control facility for the Brasilsat B1-B4 spacecraft, to last through the end of life for these four spacecraft. This contract furthers GMV’s position in South-Central America with the largest operational satellite control system in this region of the world. GMV will equip Star One with an updated system enabling them to increase their reliability and flexibility in terms of satellite control operations. The installation and integration on-site of the new Brasilsat Satellite Control Facility will take place in July, 2009—Rockville, Maryland
