Iridium Satellite announced the promotion of Scott Scheimreif to Vice President of Government Programs, where he will be responsible for management of the Iridium’s Government Programs portfolio, which includes Department of Defense (DoD) and U.S. Government services, and for new business development. Scheimreif‘s duties will include support for the DoD Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) and its Enhanced Mobile Satellite Services (EMSS) program. EMSS delivers Iridium services to the Combatant Commands, Services and Defense Agencies, as well as other government customers. Scott is also responsible for Iridium support to the DoD Gateway through the Gateway Maintenance and Service Support Agreement (GMSSA)—Bethesda, Maryland
