Sensor Systems has become the first manufacturer of antennas to receive Federal Aviation Administration TSO C190 approval for their GPS WAAS antennas for the Beta 3 apps. The antennas included in the approval are the S67-1575-135 and -145 models, which are for ARINC 743 applications. These antennas are now in production by the company and are fully certified to DO-301 requirements, are DC-grounded, and offer ice, lightning, and rain protection. GPS WAAS navigators meeting FAA WAAS regulations may be used as the only navigation means, from arrival to departure, for pilots, even to airports that would normally be unavailable for landing or take-off due to marginal weather conditions—Chatsworth, California
