Major Energy Belt Client Now in SkyPort’s Porfolio

SkyPort Global Communications now has an agreement to provide satellite bandwidth to Sabine Rig Communications’ oil and gas drilling clients. Sabine, based in Carthage, Texas, provides telephone and Internet service via satellite to crews at remote oil and gas drilling rigs throughout the Energy Belt. Under the terms of the one-year agreement, SkyPort will use its Houston-based teleport and NOC to deliver satellite bandwidth to Sabine customers in Texas, Mississippi, Arkansas, and Louisiana. “Sabine’s customers are located over thousands of square miles of rural area that can only be reached efficiently by satellite,” said Michael Polmar, Vice President of Sales for SkyPort. “Our ability to deliver round-the-clock technical support to our customers will allow Sabine to provide premium service to its customers.”—Houston, Texas
