GigaSat has announced the interoperability of GigaSat’s FA-120 satcom terminal with Vados’ range of rapidly deployable communications solutions. The companies have combined their technologies and domain experience to create a solution for secure X- and Ku-band satellite communications over the widest range of communications network protocols, optimized for reliability, performance and cost. Vados Systems’ products support a wide range of protocols, WAN, and user interfaces, allowing for the integration and delivery of multiple service streams over satcom systems. GigaSat’s FA-120 satellite terminal is almost entirely manufactured from carbon fibre to ensure packed weight comes in at less than 32 kgs. This meets all IATA requirements for checked baggage on commercial airlines.
