Awards Don’t Get Any ‘Biga’ for GigaSat
Imagine taking the top title of the top titles. That’s exactly what GigaSat, a designer, manufacturer and integrator of fixed, flyaway and vehicle mounted satellite systems to the media and broadcast industries and military forces, was happy to learn. The company took first place at the 2007 East of England International Trade Award in November 2007, then they were judged overall winner for the United Kingdom. The International Trade Awards 2007, sponsored by The Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS) are the UK’s premier awards devoted exclusively to recognizing excellence in international trade achievement. At an awards ceremony at the House of Lords, a trophy and certificate were presented by Simon Roberts, Director of Global Transaction Services at the Royal Bank of Scotland, sponsors of the award. Not too shabby for a company that has been in existence for only seven years, employs more than 60 people and enjoys a growth rate of 30-50 percent per year.
