NSSL Offers A Far Faster Experience

NSSL will become the first satellite broadband operator to offer 3Mb download speeds to its land and maritime broadband customers. Customers subscribing to NSSL’s ‘premium’ airtime package will, from the 5th of April, enjoy an increase of 50 percent better download speeds of as much as 3MB, instead of the usual 2MB—at no extra cost! This makes NSSL the first provider of DVBS2-RCS services to offer such high speeds, which will be included in the company’s Broad IP and Cruise IP services, which were originally launched in 2005, and provide a low cost, high quality broadband communications alternative to VSAT. Originally covering the North American East coast, Mediterranean, Middle East and Caribbean, the services now also cover the entire USA, Latin America, and Canadian West coast, the North Pacific and North East and South East Asia and NSSL expects further coverage increases by the end of the year—London, United Kingdom
