Monitoring Via Satellite Is Eumetsat Project Goal

EUMETSAT and the African Union Commission have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on how the European Organisation for the Exploitation of Meteorological Satellites will contribute to the African Monitoring of the Environment for Sustainable Development (AMESD) project. Data from EUMETSAT satellites, in particular Meteosat, will make a valuable contribution to these projects. Satellite technologies will allow African experts to develop new applications to support sustainable development.
