CapRock Caps Capital Year
Following a year of further expansion and introduction of new services, on February 26, 2008, CapRock Communications was named Independent Teleport Operator of the Year by the World Teleport Association (WTA). The WTA presents its Teleport Awards for Excellence each year to companies whose accomplishments have been recognized as outstanding by the association and its awards committees, comprised of industry members from around the world. CapRock was selected for the award based on its record of sustained growth, expansion into new geographic markets and launch of new products and services. Last year, CapRock launched SeaAccess Communications, its always-on broadband service designed specifically for the corporate networking and crew morale needs of the commercial maritime market. To date, CapRock has secured numerous contracts with major fleets operating around the world. Additionally, the acquisition of Arrowhead Global Solutions, Inc., which was announced last year, gives customers a broader suite of products, services and support. Towards the end of last year, CapRock also opened a support center in Perth, Australia, as well as brought on line a new hub, and expanded its capabilities in Africa to further serve the needs of clients operating in Asia Pacific and the EMEA region—Houston, Texas
