iDirect ‘s Teleport Award Sends Company Flying High

iDirect, Inc. received the 2008 Teleport Technology of the Year Award from The World Teleport Association. This award acknowledges iDirect’s Intelligent Platform contributions to the teleport industry. The award specifically recognizes Group Quality of Service (QoS) and Global Network Management System (NMS) as two technologies that enable teleport operators to supply satellite communications that support critical applications around the globe. Group QoS, a new technology feature of the iDirect Intelligent Platform, enables teleport operators to logically partition shared bandwidth among different customers, groups of remotes and applications according to service plans that extend to the application level; thereby increasing demand by maximizing bandwidth and providing reliable service to unlimited customers. Global NMS enables teleport operators to support global networks through the integration of iDirect hubs and remote hardware with multiple satellite coverage footprints so that they can track, monitor, and maintain contact with mobile communications units anywhere in the world.
