- A new ground station has been completed by the Synterra company in Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk, Russia. Currently, 83 regions in Russia are covered by Synterra, with the terrestrial net covering more than 70 regions of Russia with a total length of 60,000 kilometers. In 13 regions, satellite communication lines have been launched. This new station, with more than 40 access nodes, will become part of the company’s Wi-Fi network. The station will operate through the satellite Express-AM2 owned by the Russian Satellite Communications Company, affording coverage to all of the country. The new ground station is equipped with 50W transmitter and a 7-meter mirror.
