Responsible for issuing ID cards to Pakistani citizens is the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA), with more then 11,000 employees and more than 400 offices in Pakistan and five international offices. Definitely one of the largest organizations within Pakistan, and they have acquired a DVC-RCS satellite system to offer triple-play connectivity. They signed an agreement with a TV channel to ensure coverage of the country’s national elections on February 18th, with approximately 25 sites going to use the facility. This infrastructure will then be used to permanently provide live coverage of various events for this channel in the future. The NADRA has also expanded their network infrastructure to provide a variety of access for planned initiates and services requiring nationwide access and the Rs.93 million project also encompasses the commissioning of the thirdgen VSAt system, including one hub installed in Islamabad, and 200 remote terminals across Pakistan—Islamabad, Pakistan
