Joining Iridium Satellite is Lee Demitry, who will be the Executive Vice President for Iridium NEXT, the company’s nexgen satellite constellation program. Mr. Demitry will lead the creation, development and implementation of teh new Iridium NEXT system as well as direct engineering efforts in relation to current company satellite constellations. He will be responsible for overall NEXT program management and he’ll work closely with the company’s corporate development team to ID, evaluate and implement market requirements for NEXT. He has a 32-year career in aerospace and satellite technology, having spent 20 years in the U.S. Air Force and 12 years within the private sector. He has credentials in system engineering, program management, systems procurement and contracts, and has successfully led some of the most complex and advanced satellite programs within the U.S. Government—Bethesda, Maryland
