KVH Is Fleet Of Fleet With SatPhone Debuts

Using the soon-to-debut Fleet Broadband service from Inmarsat, KVH Industries, Inc., has introduced their new TracPhone FB250 and FB500. Both offer enhanced data performance as well as voice services within a compact and cost-effective package. Both units offer fully stabilized operation. The FB250 is targeted toward owners of leisure craft and small commercial vessels worldwide and is available in two sizes: a 12-inch high compact dome, or a 21-inch high dome to match the TravVision M5 satellite TV system. The TracPhone FB500 is designed to meet the needs of large commercial vessels and luxury yachts and offers the fastest data rates possible within the Inmarsat FleetBroadband service and also comes in two sizes: a 27-inch high dome to match the TracVision M7, or a 39-inch high dome to match the TracVision M9. All of these units offer full compatibility with the two Inmarsat-4 satellites (located over the Indian and Atlantic Oceans) and will be available as of November 19th.—Middletown, Rhode Island
