A $3.2 million contract has been awarded to DataPath, Inc. This award is from Program Manager WIN-T’s Commercial SATCOM Terminal Program at the U.S. Army Communications-Electronics Command in Fort Monmouth, New Jersey, and was made under the Blanket Purchase Agreements (BPAs). DataPath will now upgrade their Deployable Ku Band Earth Terminals in the U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) area of responsibility in Southwest Asia. With options, the contract could increase to a total value of $4.5 million. The U.S. Army and the U.S. Navy use the DKET satcom hubs for critical broadband voice, video and data communications in theater. The upgrades, which include adding L-band capability, will increase the capacity and flexibility of the DKETs—Duluth, Georgia
