Latens has been awarded a contract by the Dubai-based telco, du, to protect its IPTV service. du, the new telecom operator in United Arab Emirates (UAE), has acquired over 500,000 customers. This represents more than 10 percent of the UAE population within less than a year of its launch of operations. Latens CA is to protect du’s population of Motorola set-top boxes (STBs). The contract will see Latens CA rolled-out in Q4 2007. The multilingual du IPTV service includes a Basic Package plus Premium packages from content aggregators and providers worldwide, providing UAE’s consumers with incredible choice of TV programs in several different languages—Belfast, Northern Ireland
