The current chairman of The Allstate Corporation, Mr. Edward M. Libby, has just been elected to the Boeing board of directors. This is effective immediately. Mr. Libby served as CEO of Allstate from January 1999 to December 2006, President from January 1995 to May of 2005, and COO from August 1994 to January 1999. He has also served in a variety of financial and operating positions at Sears, Roebuck and company.
