On the IBC2017 Show Floor — Arabsat to Showcase Their Satellite Services


Arab Satellite Communications Organization (Arabsat) will be participating in IBC2017, which will be held in Amsterdam from September 15 through 19, 2017 —IBC is considered to be the largest international gathering attended by a group of experts and professionals engaged in the field of satTV broadcasting.

Eng./Khalid bin Ahmed Balkheyour, ARABSAT President & CEO said that Arabsat will showcase their new satellites services in addition to the company’s new and updated marketing and sales strategies to accommodate the market demands.

Founded in 1976 by the 21 member-states of the Arab League, Arabsat has been serving the growing needs of the Arab world for more than 40 years, operating from the company’s headquarter in Riyadh-KSA with two satellite control stations in Riyadh and Tunis. Arabsat carries more than 500 TV channels, 200 radio stations, payTV networks plus a wide variety of HD channels that reach tens of millions of homes in more than 80 countries across the Middle East, Africa and Europe  —including an audience of over 170 million viewers in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region alone who tune into Arabsat’s video “hotspot” at 26 degrees East.  

Arabsat operates a growing fleet of owned satellites at the 20 degrees East, 26 degrees East, 30.5 degrees East, 39 degrees East and 44.5 degrees East and, according to the company, is the only satellite operator in the MENA region offering the full spectrum of broadcast, telecommunications and broadband services.
