Newtec has carried out an extensive industry survey to gauge the temperature of the sector as DVB makes plans to roll-out extensions to the existing DVB-S2 standard at the end of the summer. The results come as a number of new standards are entering the market for quality (UHDTV 4K/8K), compression (HEVC) and satellite transmission (S2 Extensions).
The full survey results, based on over 700 respondents from more than 400 satellite companies, will be available at a special Future Network Technologies panel being hosted by Newtec on the third day of IBC.
