Targeting the increasing vulnerability of Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) signals in modern conflict zones, infiniDome and Wonder Robotics announced a strategic collaboration on Wednesday, January 21, 2026, to develop IroNav.
This new class of full-stack resilient autonomy is designed for an operational reality where reliable navigation can no longer be assumed, providing end-to-end mission autonomy that combines vision-based navigation with resilient flight control in a single, integrated architecture.
Integration of Anti-Jamming and Vision-Based Systems
The IroNav solution brings together two domains that are typically addressed as separate components within a drone’s hardware stack. The system tightly integrates infiniDome’s expertise in electronic navigation protection with Wonder Robotics’ vision-based autonomy and precision landing capabilities. Unlike traditional fallback modes, IroNav is designed as a single navigation architecture that exploits GNSS when available—leveraging infiniDome’s adjustable antenna technology to maximize usable signal even when partially jammed—and transitions to a complete GNSS-denied protection envelope when signals are lost or spoofed. This allows the platform to maintain position, timing, and control loop stability without requiring external infrastructure or continuous human supervision.
WonderLand and Mission Completion Capabilities
A central element of the integrated solution is WonderLand, the vision-based precision landing technology from Wonder Robotics. This capability enables autonomous operations on moving platforms, maritime environments, and unprepared terrain even in fully GNSS-denied conditions. By incorporating WonderLand, IroNav extends resilience beyond mid-flight transit to include the landing phase, which is historically the most failure-prone portion of an autonomous mission. This integrated approach ensures that operators can execute time-sensitive strike profiles or sustained Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) missions through heavy electronic interference without redesigning the core mission concept.
Strategic Shift in Autonomous Design Philosophy
The collaboration reflects a broader industry shift where GNSS disruption is no longer treated as a rare occurrence but as a persistent design constraint. This integration builds upon previous industry milestones, such as infiniDome’s prior work with Honeywell to protect UAVs from GPS jamming, and scales the technology for highly contested environments. Development Status and International Trials
Currently in advanced development, IroNav is being refined through early customer engagement and ongoing field trials. The companies are currently conducting trials with customers in India to validate the system in diverse and contested environments. The solution is intended for operators who view navigation resilience as a strategic capability and are seeking systems designed from the ground up for contested environments rather than relying on bolt-on components for continuity of operations across the full mission lifecycle.
