Dcubed, a German NewSpace supplier, successfully closed its Series-A funding round that raised €4.4 million and exceeded expectations with a 26% oversubscription. The new funds will scale the production of satellite actuators and advance the company’s leadership in in-space manufacturing. Eight international European and U.S. investors participated, including High-Tech Gründerfonds (HTGF), Aurelia Foundry, Ventis, Rymdkapital, and Decisive Point Europe.
The new funds will also help Dcubed enhance its production capabilities and standardize its products enabling the company to meet the rising demand for satellite components. Dcubed also anticipates launching an online store for space products, for customer convenience to order components.

Thomas Sinn, CEO of Dcubed, emphasized the high market trust in their technology. With the new investment, Dcubed plans to quadruple the production of its satellite actuators by the end of 2024. The company will also open a U.S. office in Westminster, Colorado, to take advantage of the world’s largest space market and strengthen its global presence.
By opening a U.S. office, Dcubed positions itself in a key NewSpace hub, benefiting from a network of space companies and research institutions. Andria Fortier, the new U.S. Managing Director, will lead the U.S. operations and strengthen strategic relationships with American customers and partners.
Dcubed’s strategic plans include more investments in in-space manufacturing. The company aims to demonstrate 3D-printing a high-performance satellite solar array in free space by 2025 making this a first in space technology.
