[SatNews] The Commercial Spaceflight Federation has announced that Eric Stallmer has been named as its next President.
Stallmer will join CSF staff in September and will assume the position of President following the departure of Michael Lopez-Alegria. Stallmer comes to CSF from serving as Vice President of Government Relations at Analytical Graphics Inc. (AGI) in Washington, DC, where he oversaw, developed and implemented the company's global legislative and regulatory strategy in a variety of areas including aerospace, defense, and civil industries. Stallmer has considerable space-related experience, including serving as President of the Space Transportation Association (STA) prior to his time with AGI. In that role, he oversaw all aspects of STA and handled day-to-day operations in addition to long-term strategic plans. Stallmer also directed and managed outreach to policymakers including Congress, NASA, and the Departments of Defense, Commerce, and Transportation.
