[SatNews] Geolink Satellite Services is now providing maritime VSAT services in the Congo for one of the world’s leading oil companies. Geolink Satellite Services, part of CETel group, a key specialist in providing a wide array of communications to the oil and gas industry, has won a contract to install a stabilized antenna at the customer’s offshore floating platform in Congo.
The system is designed to operate in calm and rough waters, all the while maintaining a high quality of connection for Internet and voice communication. The service is monitored by the Geolink Satellite Services NOC—local support is provided by Geolink Satellite Services partner Pointe-Noire. Thanks to its web interface solution, the Geolink Board, each customer can monitor the performance of its link and can instantly retrieve real-time information on network traffic, status reports and usage statistics.
