During the Next-Gen Technology conference track, Bachofen will participate in the panel discussion “What Does Hybrid TV Really Mean — Broadcast or Broadband?” at 11:45 a.m. on June 18th. He will also present on “Strategies for Monetizing Hybrid Television Services” as part of the OTT conference track at 2:30 p.m. on June 19th. The presentation and panel discussion both explore the current state of the connected TV environment, providing attendees with insight into how to develop hybrid television services and deliver a more engaging television experience to viewers.
Bachofen will examine the value of partnerships between content providers and connected device manufacturers so that they can co-exist profitably. He will also outline strategies to deploy new revenue-generating services, including targeted advertising and non-real-time content. During the moderated panel discussion on June 18th, Bachofen will join a group of industry experts in discussing hybrid services, products, and technologies that are currently available. Among other topics, the panel will explain how hybrid TV impacts the roles of various market players and how players can exploit the connected platform to create engaging experiences.
Bachofen has more than 20 years of experience in voice and multimedia over IP, telecommunications, and in the semiconductor business as head of Triveni Digital’s sales and marketing group. His professional career includes senior technical and marketing roles at Conexant Systems, Siemens, and Accelerated Networks. Bachofen holds an executive master’s degree in business administration and a Bachelor of Science degree in telecommunication technologies.
