Proactive Communications, Inc. (PCI) now has an agreement with the Joint Contracting Command Iraq (JCC-I) for Task Force Iron (TFI), a military force operating in northern Iraq consisting of soldiers from multiple units based in Germany and United States, to deploy a satellite Internet and voice solution. PCI’s secure, integrated network provides a reliable communications channel that is critical for the success of TFI’s complex, high-risk missions throughout Iraq. PCI is providing a comprehensive communications solution for TFI that includes delivery and installation of the hardware and software; secure voice and Internet connectivity; scheduled and unscheduled maintenance through experienced, onsite support personnel; and remote monitoring of the TFI network. By giving TFI soldiers a constant line of communication via telephone or email to fellow task force members who are often dispersed throughout Iraq in remote locations, the PCI network is a key asset in the ongoing Operation Iraqi Freedom campaign. PCI has been providing communications support to the Coalition Forces and Iraqi Government Security Forces at over 400 sites throughout Iraq since spring 2003. PCI has also successfully deployed satellite systems for the U.S. military in Afghanistan. “Our customers count on us to provide them with rock solid communications capabilities for their most critical missions in austere environments,” said PCI’s COO, Lawrence T. Hall Jr., LTC, U.S. Army Retired. “We are honored to extend our Iraqi operations to support the troops of Task Force Iron with satellite telecommunications services in their critical efforts to achieve security and stability in the country.”—Killeen, Texas
