Thuraya’s Marine Antenna Withstands Even The Perfect Storm

Thuraya unveiled their new antenna for the marine environment, an antenna that always points toward the satellite, regardless of a ship’s movement or position. This new antenna solution ensures broadband service under any weather circumstances. The antenna enables enhanced broadband capabilities onboard ships, most importantly enabling seafarers to upload and download data in a reliable, uninterrupted manner. The new antenna can be purchased as a stand-alone option, or as a fitted accessory to the ThurayaDSL terminal. Manufactured by Spacecom, a Danish-based technology partner for Thuraya, the new antenna functions in any adverse condition that may be encountered by any vessel in the sea. In the next few weeks, Thuraya will also launch an advanced marine product that offers voice, fax and SMS.
