- Orbit has announced Standard Intelsat Type Approval (GVF/IA 200FLT K2&G) for its OrSat (AL-7103 MK II) Ku-band Maritime Stabilized Antenna System. Receiving the Eutelsat Type approval last year, along with this new and significant Type Approval awarded by Intelsat, led Dr. Ehud Netzer, the CEO of Orbit, to state, “These type approvals from the leading satellite companies are a significant step forward for Orbit. It demonstrates the uniqueness of the OrSat system and proves the capabilities, superiority and leadership of the Orbit’s technology.“ This stable, all weather antenna offers the largest gain possible for a 1.28m radome, and practically reduces operation expenses throughout the product’s life cycle. With both approvals, its simple plug-and-play architecture and cost effectiveness makes Orbit’s unique OrSat Ku-Band Maritime Stabilized Antenna System even more attractive. During its first year of availability, the system is already deployed and operating on hundreds of platforms worldwide—Washington, D.C.
