- SkyTrac‘s SatCom and flight following solution has been selected by Slave Lake Helicopters for its mixed fleet of Eurocopter (AS350 and EC120) and Bell (206) aircraft. Based in Northern Alberta, Slave Lake Helicopters is active in tree planting, fire‐fighting and oil exploration. In 2006, for example, Slave Lake Helicopters planted 10 million trees. The SkyTrac hardware is being fitted to the AS350 and 206 by ACROHELIPRO of Langley, British Columbia, and to the EC120 by Western Avionics of Calgary, Alberta. Slave Lake Helicopters’ AS350 is of particular interest as it is the B2 model with a retrofitted Sagem glass cockpit. This aircraft, complete with SkyTrac’s hardware, will be on display at the FDC/aerofilter booth at the Helicopter Association International (HAI) “Heli‐Expo” event in Houston, Texas from February 24 to 26, 2008—Kelowna, British Columbia
