CalAmp Corp. [NASDAQ:CAMP] has launched the Aircept LMU-1400 Location Messaging Unit for mobile asset tracking. The Aircept LMU-1400 is a new GPS and GSM/GPRS tracking device that delivers 6th generation improvements in performance. Enhancements include higher cellular receive sensitivity, simultaneous tracking of as many as 16 GPS satellites, Over-The-Air (OTA) delivery of software features, lower power consumption and a low profile compact package. In addition, CalAmp has integrated satellite mapping views into the Aircept online service for its digital cellular products. These new products and services rely on patented technologies and processes (United States Patent Nos. 6,025,774 and 6,249,217 B1).
