Also Working Toward NASA COTS Award is t/Space

Another firm entering the second-round competition for NASA funding for an Earth-to-orbit crew and cargo transportation service is Transformational Space Corporation (t/Space). $175 million will be offered by NASA‘s Commercial Orbital Transportation Services (COTS) to companies who develop systems to move people and supplies to the International Space Station. With the Space Shuttle set to retire in 2010, it is hoped NASA will announce the winner(s) no later than February of 2008. t/space was one of six finalists in last year’s COTS competition.
