A new $24 million contract has been received by AAE Systems, Inc., to provide a turnkey communications system in the Middle East. AAE Systems is a satellite equipment manufacturer and Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) systems solutions provider. For the first phase of this project, the company will design, provide and install a multifaceted ICT system to be used by various government departments, service agencies and field offices.
The ICT system includes a combo of innovative wired/wireless technologies. These are fully integrated into a seamless system interconnecting office level nets. Voice, data and video services will be provided and tailored to the specific needs of respective offices and agencies. AAE’s Eclipse Digital Satellite Routers, an all-in-one MF TDMA satellite router that supports True-Mesh and Star topologies, are incorporated as a major part of this ICT network. This provides the satellite background for countrywide connectivity.
