By joining forces, Space Micro Inc. and DR Technologies will be bringing radiation hardened structures to both the military and space markets. They will work together to support the development, testing and marketing of new technologies and products related to intelligent, multifunctional structures for space and military applications. Both San Diego-based firms have enjoyed a solid relationship in the past and worked on programs that included SBIR projects for the Missile Defense Agency’s (MDA) MKV program.
Space Micro provides radiation-hardened by design solutions for advanced electronic systems and microelectronics. This includes the development of the world’s fastest small space computers, such as the Proton 200k and other innovations such as the Proton 300k, TTMR, HCORE and Radsite. DR Technologies develops and manufactures advanced composite structural products for aerospace and defense applications and the firm owns and operates three wholly-owned subsidiaries: Vanguard Composites Group, Inc., V System Composites and Vector Composites.
