Comtech Telecommunications Corp. [NASDAQ: CMTL] subsidiary Comtech PST Corp. has received $1.5 million of orders for high power amplifiers from a leading provider of aviation electronics and communication systems. These amplifiers are used as part of satellite communications systems which provide commercial mobile airborne-to-satellite-to-ground communications service. The systems make available to operators the ability to access Inmarsat‘s Aero-I service for aeronautical satellite communications with multi-channel voice, fax and data capabilities. These orders supplement a significant installed base of Comtech high power amplifiers previously delivered to this customer—Melville, New York
And more for Comtech… their Comtech Mobile Datacom Corporation subsidiary has garnered orders totaling $15.7 million from the U.S. Army under its Movement Tracking System. Comtech is supply MTS systems. They feature the company’s Model MT-2012 mobile satellite transceivers integrated with ruggedized and control station computers, miscellaneous hardware, installation kits, satellite network bandwidth, satellite network ops, program management and technical support services. The orders received to date against the $605.1 million MTS contract increased to $53 million. Comtech’s Model MT-2012 Transceiver features Savi Technology‘s ISO-compliant EchoPoint RFID Reader, as well as secure GPS capabilities.
