There’s a new, cost-effective series of coaxial connectors from ITC. This division of The Quest Group has debuted this product that’s designed for A/V installers in Europe and other regions with identical connector standards. The company’s patented system offers an alternative to soldering or compression methods, especially as the later systems require multiple tools or dies to make that connection. ITC’s system lowers costs, thanks to a reduction in termination time, complexity, and failure rate.
The devices from ITC feature a captive center pin that securely grips onto the center conductor, using a unique spring tension system for contact and conductivity. The toothed outer retainer ring holds the connector firmly in place while spinning inside the product to provide torsional strain relief for increased reliability. This new series of ITC Euriopean coaxial connectors is available in F, BNC, and RCA connector configurations for 18-, 20- and 24-AWG coax cable, with additional models to be available by the close of Q3—Irvine, California
