SES Sentarse Con AR-SA

SES Global South America Holdings, S.L., an SES company [Euronext Paris and Luxembourg Stock Exchange: SESG] has just announced an agreement with AR-SAT, Empresa Argentina de Soluciones Satelitales, S.A. The recently formed satellite operator is based in Buenos Aires. The agreement calls for AR-SAT to use 2 standard Ku-band and 3 extended Ku-band transponders on SES’ AMC-6 satellite. The length of the contract is for five years.

Launched in 2000 from the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan, AMC-6 is an A2100AX class satellite that operates from 72°W. The spacecraft’s 24, 36 MHz C-band transponders feature 20 watt SSPAs (Solid State Power Amplifier); the twenty-four 36 MHz and four 72 MHz Ku-band transponders feature 110 watt TWTAs (Traveling Wave Tube Amplifier); each of the Ku-band transponders is switchable, transponder by transponder, into both or either the northern and southern hemisphere—Madrid, Spain
