RESTON, VIRGINIA: August 22, 2007—Satnews Daily—Bringing communications to sparsely populated and rural areas in Texas, for businesses, homes and public safety organizations, will be Mobile Satellite Ventures (MSV) satellite communications products and services. This is all due to the fact that MSV has now signed a three-year agreement with DialToneServices (DTS), a regional telephone company, to provide satellite-delivered telephone service to customers located in more than 180 telephone exchanges throughout Texas. The MSAT-G2 satellite radio has been enjoying more and more sales since its introduction by MSV in early 2006. The product supports point-to-point and point-to-multipoint communications features that include push-to-talk, push-to-track and voice services, especially useful to public safety and emergency response personnel.
In additional MSV news, the company has announced the appointment of James A. Wiseman as the Vice President and Corporate Controller for MSV. He’ll be responsible for the overall management and direction of all corporate accounting, tax, financial reporting and related compliance matters. He’ll also enjoy his budgeting and business process activities for both MSV and the corporate parent, SkyTerra.
