AMSTERDAM, THE NETHERLANDS: August 21, 2007—Satnews Daily—With IBC ’07 rapidly approaching, we continue our coverage of companies and their exhibitions we feel might be of interest to our satellite and communications community.
In Hall 4, Stand 348, or at the IPTV/Mobile Zone 245, SIDSA will be presenting information dealing with the latest trends and developments in the broadcast industry, including what the company sees as the revolution with DVB-H mobile TV. In fact, SIDSA was selected by IBC to operate and provide a DVB-H mobile TV network. They’ll distribute free-to-air and encrypted TV channels during the show. Additionally, SIDSA will have on hand information about their IP license for DVB-SH as well as plug and play solutions targeted at terminal manufacturers.
At Stand No. 1-493 at IBC, Telairity, Inc., will be positioned to reveal their line of HD and SD video compression systems for the global marketplace. Being introduced to the worldwide market is the Telairity BE7400 Standard Definition Broadcast Encoder. This is a scalable, fully programmable four-channel H.264/AVC SD broadcast encoder in a 1-RU chassis. It incorporates the company’s patented video architecture and is designed for satellite/cable/terrestrial broadcasts. One to four full independent SD channels can be handled simultaneously, with as many as four stereo audio programs per video channel. You’ll also be able to see their Telairity BE8000 High Definition Broadcast Encoder that is being introduced into the European market. This encoder is based on the company’s patented Telairity-1 video processor and the 1-RU unit enables compressed transmissions to begin within five seconds of powering on. That’s impressive. As is the case with the BE7400 mentioned earlier, the BE8000 worldwide branding will be the BE7400, except in the Americas where it will be sold through NVISION as the NVISION NV2020-HD. Three additional products will make their debut at IBC.
