IEC Telecom, provider of satellite solutions joined a strategic alliance with Scanmarine, the distributor of communication equipment in the Scandinavian countries.
IEC Telecom has grown significantly in the Scandinavian market beginning in 2012 when IEC Telecom acquired Tradee Telecom in Norway, and then in 2014 a new office was opened in Stockholm, Sweden. As a result IEC Telecom is a significant player in the Scandinavian market both on land and maritime, and is now present in Denmark.
Yves Emilian, IEC Telecom Founder and President stated that their position in the maritime market as top-level distributor and Service Provider for companies like Iridium, Inmarsat, Telenor Satellite and Thuraya, gives Scanmarine all it needs to capture market share also within satellite communication, and to become the One Stop Shop for maritime electronic and telecommunication services.
Scanmarine also has a long experience of distribution of safety and communication equipment in the Scandinavian market, providing personal services and support to their customers.
While commenting the strategic partnership Peter Visby, General Manager of Scanmarine added that they are excited to establish a long-term partnership between IEC Telecom and Scanmarine. It is a unique opportunity to provide their customers all along the Danish coast with the highest level of service including for satellite telecom solutions, L-band to VSAT, and applications.
