CapRock Communications, a global provider of satellite communications to remote and harsh environments, has announced the Company has changed the name of its federal government division, Arrowhead Global Solutions, to CapRock Government Solutions.
Arrowhead was acquired by CapRock Communications in 2007. The name change marks a significant point in the final assimilation and integration of the federal government focused division into the overall CapRock corporate structure. Over the past two years, the company has evolved significantly from its entrepreneurial roots, forming a new management team, implementing a new long term strategic plan, and launching a new value-add product and service portfolio. The evolution of CapRock Government Solutions has manifested into consistent double-digit annual growth and a new position as the industry leader in commercial X-band satellite services to the U.S. government.
By fully integrating Arrowhead Global Solutions as a business unit of CapRock Communications, customers in the defense, intelligence, and civilian government communities can take full advantage of the company’s portfolio of capabilities. CapRock’s assets include more than 650 employees around the globe, a self-owned and operated infrastructure with four international teleports, four 24×7 Network Operation Centers (NOC’s), and 11 regional support centers. CapRock has served clients with operations in over 90 countries and across all the world’s oceans. CapRock Government Solutions specializes in delivering end-to-end SATCOM and integrated network solutions for a wide variety of contract vehicles and programs for DISA, the DoD, intelligence community, and various federal civilian agencies. Recently, CapRock Government Solutions unveiled the industry’s first commercial X-band managed service offering. Since that launch, CapRock has been awarded two multimillion dollar contracts to provide over 200 MHz of commercial X-band services to two U.S. Government agencies.
