OSLO, NORWAY & ROCKVILLE, MARYLAND: August 21, 2007—Satnews Daily—Three Thousand of anything is a big deal! When the 3000th Broadband Global Area Network (BGAN) terminal is activated, well, no wonder the folk at Telenor Satellite Services (TELN) are happy campers! And that’s exactly what Telenor has accomplished. The company met this benchmark event thanks to their Telenor Global Distribution Network that includes more than 400 service providers and retail organizations throughout local buying markets across the globe.
Telenor is the second largest Distribution Partner in BGAN activations. Last year, they implemented a new pricing plan, one that eliminated BGAN activation fees. And monthly subscription fees were also done away with under the company’s Anytime Plan. Instead, users of the Telenor plan agree to a low charge of 10MB of airtime per month, the time good for a year and unused portions automatically rollover to the succeeding month. Plus, their Free BGAN Airtime promo has been extended through August 31st of this year. All service activations earn users $1,000 worth of free airtime. Telenor is also the only BGAN Distribution Partner to offer Terralink, a proprietary IP networking platform and Global Points of Presence (PoP) Networking allowing users to take IP networking to higher levels of performance and capability.
