Livewire Digital has been showing range of products at IBC. The company also introduced their new software package, M-Link JATS, as well as other projects recently undertaken for the British Royal Navy, Reuters and Volvo Ocean Race. Volvo Ocean Race has appointed Livewire Digital to deliver and implement a new on-board High Definition (HD) broadcast system for the 2008-2009 race. Livewire Digital ‘Media Desk HD’ is now being developed to capture the excitement of the race in HD video for the first time.
Based on Livewire Digital’s existing M-Link range of solutions, M-Link Voyager H.264 AVC and M-Link IP-Reporter H.264 AVC provide broadcast quality video for comprehensive news gathering via satellite, mobile and IP networks. The addition of the new M-Link JATS will offer increased functionality and a new automated transfer agent to the existing Livewire Digital broadcasting product line.
The Royal Navy has enhanced its fleet of capital ships with new Livewire Digital broadcast systems. The material will be used for both internal purposes such as training and for interaction with the broadcast news channels.
Reuters have chosen to globally roll out Livewire’s M-Link Live professional broadcast system to complement their existing news gathering capability. This enables live reporting from the field to bureau over, over BGAN, 3G and IP—Surrey, United Kingdom
