NEW DELHI, INDIA: August 20, 2007—Satnews Daily—You probably have not heard about, or know much regarding, ORG Informatics. Based in Gurgaon, India, this company was established in 1976 by the late Dr. Vikram Sarabhai, the architect of India’s space program. ORG was formed from the merger of Sarabhai Electronics & DDE ORG in 2003, with Global Asia Partners acquiring an equity stake and management control during that year as well. According to the Indiatimes‘ The Economic Times online site, ORG is about to purchase one of Europe’s leading satellite service providers. Details remain unknown. Such an acquisition will certainly give ORG a presence in the Middle East and expand their European operations. This COULD be ORG’s third acquisition. They attained two Indian IT service companies (DGIT Solutions and Tech-Unified) earlier. Current clients for ORG include Hertz, Latelz (Cambodia), Mobfisuion, Roshan Telecom in Afghanistan, Telebartha in Bangladesh, Orix, Saudi Telecom, and Spice Nepal. This company also happens to be one of the few deploying GSM networks on VSAT.
