(VT Systems), announced that it has moved its Canadian office to the nation’s capital, strengthening its commitment to the Canadian satellite communications market. The new Ottawa facility will serve as the head office for iDirect Canada and support a growing team of sales, operations, engineering and technical research, and development functions.

Satellite communications industry analysts project significant future growth in Canada as the country expands communications deep into its vast remote areas to spur natural resource development and strengthen rural societies and economies. With the iDirect platform already widely deployed in markets as varied as oil and gas, mining and government and defense, a more established presence positions the company to better serve local partners while developing products that address the growing national focus on connectivity and access.
