SatMax® Corp. (PINKSHEETS: SATM) has announced another reseller agreement today, this time with Austin, Texas-based GIT Satellite Communications. The firm has agreed to resell SatMAX advanced satellite communications systems to its Iridium– and Inmarsat-linked customers.
GITSAT‘s first order, for use in testing equipment aboard a submergable undersea exploration watercraft, has been delivered and paid for. The end user, Woods Hole Oceanographic Institute (WHOI), will be using a SatMax repeater to aid communications within their systems of moorings and buoys. WHOI, publisher of Oceanus Magazine, is the world’s largest private, nonprofit ocean research, engineering and education organization. WHOI is a private, independent organization in Falmouth, Massachusetts, dedicated to marine research, engineering, and higher education. Established in 1930 on a recommendation from the National Academy of Sciences, its primary mission is to understand the oceans and their interaction with the Earth as a whole, and to communicate a basic understanding of the oceans’ role in the changing global environment.
