SES (Euronext:SESG) has announced that Romain Bausch, CEO of the Company, has been elected by the European Satellite Operators Association (ESOA) as chairman of the board.
Bausch succeeds Giuliano Berretta, who is the CEO of Eutelsat Communications. Bausch, a satellite industry veteran, joined SES in 1995 as CEO and has served as president and CEO since 2001. He is also chairman of the SES executive committee, chairman of the board of directors of SES ASTRA and SES AMERICOM-NEW SKIES, the two major divisions of SES, as well as chairman of the board of SES SIRIUS. Previously, Bausch served as ESOA‘s first chairman of the board at its inception in 2002. Christodoulos Protopapas, CEO of HellasSat, was elected vice-chairman of ESOA’s board.
