TeleCommunication Systems, Inc. (TCS) [NasdaqGM: TSYS] announced it has been awarded a $2.25 million contract to support a Department of Defense (DoD) joint program with SwiftLink deployable networking systems for command and control operations. The TCS SwiftLink provides a Joint Interoperability Test Command (JITC) certified, integrated, rapidly deployable Command and Control (C2) system to Geographic Combatant Commanders. It also supports en route, early entry Joint Task Force (JTF) efforts, rapid response for first responders and small control teams, and full JTF C2 operations.
SwiftLink systems will enable the Geographic Combatant Commanders to fully deploy and activate a JTF headquarters in less than 24 hours. These headquarters are equipped with a command and control system with the ability to plan, control, coordinate, execute and assess operations across the spectrum of conflict and domestic disaster relief—Annapolis, Maryland
