Inadequate Internet speeds are the bane of communications and Broadband Delivery UK (BDUK) has decided to revise their connectivity program to aid in the cause of providing the underserved with connection services.
Satellite Internet, a specialist satellite Internet Service Provider (ISP), has welcomed this decision, with the program now retitled the Better Broadband scheme. Now, properties with inadequate Internet speeds can be set up for connection to the BDUK Better Broadband program at a heavily subsidized rate. This includes any residential or commercial property with current broadband speeds of less than 2 Mbps across the entire UK, with the exception of Wales and Devon & Somerset, which are covered by their own programs.
Qualifying residential properties can now receive full connection to Satellite Internet’s services for a vastly reduced cost that includes all necessary equipment, professional installation and account activation. The ISP is also including a wireless router free with every order. Business properties will also be eligible for the substantially reduced set-up costs, after having an additional chargeable site survey.
