Hybrid TV allows Internet service providers to provide comprehensive IPTV programming, even in regions with relatively poor broadband network infrastructure. While content for which latency and bandwidth are not critical — such as video on demand — continues to be loaded via the DSL network, live TV formats reach the house by satellite.
