Launches in July 2009
  • 2009 035A: TerraSat-1, a communications satellite was launched on 1 July 2009.
  • 2009 036A, B, C: Three Russian Rodnik communications satellites, Kosmos-2451, Kosmos- 2452 and Kosmos-2453 were placed in orbit on 6 July 2009.
  • 2009 037A: On 14 July 2009 a Falcon 1 launcher placed the Malaysian RazakSat satellite in orbit. Two planned cubesats, InnoSAT and CubeSat, had been deleted for this launch.
  • 2009 038A: The orbiter Endeavour was launched for the STS-127 mission on 15 July 2009. It landed again on 31 July 2009.
  • 2009 038B: The DRAGONSat-1 and -2 satellites were released from STS-127 on 30 July 2009. Their separation failed. The two university built satellites were also known as Bevo-1 and AggieSat-2.
  • 2009 038E and F: The ANDE-Pollux and ANDE-Castor atmospheric satellites were released from STS-127 on 30 July 2009.
  • 2009 039A: Kosmos-2454, a Parus navigational satellite, was launched on 21 July 2009.
  • 2009 039B: The same launch vehicle that was used for Kosmos-2545 placed the Sterkh-1 search and rescue satellite in orbit.
  • 2009 040A: The Progress M-67 cargo transfer spacecraft was launched on 24 July 2009. It docked with ISS on 29 July 2009.
  • 2009 041A/F: On 29 July 2009 a Dnepr 1 launch vehicle placed six satellites in orbit. They were Deimos-1 (2009 041A), DubaiSat-1 (2009 041B), DMC-2 (2009 041C), AprizeSat-4 (2009 041D), Nanosat-1B (2009 041E) and AprizeSat-3 (2009 041F). Deimos-1 and DMC-2 were disaster monitoring satellites provided by Spain and the UK, respectively. Dubaisat-1 was an Earth observation satellite owned by the United Arab Emirates, Nanosat-1B a Spanish technology satellite whilst the two AprizeSats are Argentinian communications satellites in a series that was previously known as LatinSat. The AprizeSat system is managed by a US based company.

  • 1990 084A: Molniya 3-39 re-entered on 8 July 2009.
  • 2009 022A: Kosmos-2450 re-entered on 27 July 2009.
  • 2009 024A: Progress M-02M re-entered on 13 July 2009.

  • STS-134: September 2010, ISS mission
